Lunela loves telling stories about the sky. What we do not tell is a fairy tale about how they come about. So here it is, openly: where artificial intelligence contributes with us — and where it does not.
The astronomical foundation is real computation, not a language model: positions of the Sun, Moon and planets, ascendant, houses, aspects, moon phases and the lunar calendar are calculated exactly from ephemeris data. The same birth data always yields the same chart.
Our calculators work purely computationally as well — as does the compatibility score in the partner horoscope.
From the calculated positions we create a text that sounds as though someone were speaking with you. Artificial intelligence takes over that step. Specifically, this concerns:
For the texts we use the language model interface of Anthropic PBC (USA), and for Luna's voice a speech synthesis service by Google. Your data is not used for training. Which data exactly is transmitted, and on what legal basis, is set out in our privacy policy.
